Flapping Squirrel Tail

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues - (the real) Elizabeth Taylor

20,000+

**deep sigh**

Does this need an explanation?

I continually wonder what it's like in Iraq. I don't feel like I can trust the "news" to report accurately. The control of information and the media by anything other than the 1st Amendment is a terrifying concept. But I happened upon this letter in Time. It was illuminating.
Anyhow, this "surge" is going to happen. Call it what it is though: an escalation. An escalation, a build-up for a mishandled war with no real objective. It was a mishandled, deceitful and addle-brained invasion. How something can be deceitful and addle-brained simultaneously is beyond me - but they managed to do it. And how can you mishandle something that has no objective? Again, I don't know, but they managed to do it...

It's a sad day. And you can't expect the Democrats to stop it. Because they will fail to represent you yet again. We all voted them in. For what? For this? Again, at this most critical time, they're not standing by us.

They don't deserve their paychecks. I say we draft them and send them to Iraq. Hey, speaking of draft, I would like to know where Bush is going to get his 20,000+ troops. Okay, so he's going to extend tours. Then what? Tell you what Mr. "President," I'll volunteer the entire Congress to head on over there and pull their weight. All those that voted to authorize the war, send'em over. The ones that voted for it and got voted out, and the new Dems that are in that got voted in their place. Send them all. Send their spoiled rich kids too. As a citizen and a voting taxpayer, I want them to go to Iraq. That's who I'm authorizing. Save some of our troops. How's that for logic?
