Danzig
When I was a teenager I was all into Danzig. And I had a thing for the lead singer even though he's like 5 ft. tall and I would therefore tower over him by about 7 inches...(sorry Glenn). Anyway, the other night I'm downloading a ton of music and I got to thinking about Danzig's other albums (after I got the choice Motorhead tunes) - and the debut which is a classic, in my humble opinion (and which I still own and still love - I put it up there almost with Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction...really). So I find the 2nd album, which is aptly titled 'Lucifuge.' I download the choice songs and burn them and I gotta say, despite their inherent satanic corniness, I cannot stop listening to it! Glenn's voice is like evil Elvis...can't get enough! I love his schtick....It was interesting listening to music I hadn't listened to since I was 17 and still remembering the lyrics and the music...so here I sit now, nice and drunk, listening to 'Dirty Black Summer,' which could easily be from the 3rd album (okay, okay, I burned the third album, too, if you must know! guilty...) I swear if I saw Glenn Danzig at some bar today I would down a few shots and do what I had to do to get him where I want him, which would be naked and at my mercy...but, he is a body builder and may not take kindly to that. Then again, you never know...
Today I drove over to a wine shop on Sunset, over by what I believe is a famous comedy club (it's so weird living in a city like this where I pass actual famous stuff all the time and go, isn't that the such-and-such; it's kinda cool, actually) and applied for a wine clerk position. We'll see how that goes. They had quite a collection of wines, they did. Of course this excites me to no end - wine. Even more than Mr. Danzig. That's saying a lot.

I read your post and was trying to decide what my favorite Danzig song was. I'd say it's a toss up between 'Twist of Cain' and 'Mother'...really can't decide which one I like better. I was always an early Misfits fan too... Of course, I think it was your teddy bear picture holding the Misfits CD that first lead me to begin reading your blog...lol. Strange what brings people together.
Thanks for the comment today at my place. Yes, onward and upward! Maybe better with me in it...perhaps, at least for some people.
Take care and cheers,
Sublime
