I'm listening to 50 Cent really fucking loud right now. Trying to drown out the idiot upstairs who has replaced his acoustic guitar with an ELECTRIC one. At first his little ditties this evening were rather nice, but then he got all involved in this weird angry tangent playing the same damn chords over and over and well, he's making me nuts. Hence my own blasting stereo...

So here's my new proclamation/resolution: no more drinking during the week. Except for Friday. I just decided after this last 'episode' that it's just too much lately. (Even though the last episode occurred on a Friday - that's beside the point, dammit!)

I was reading the NY Times today during lunch and happened upon the article reporting on the Gitmo detainees' suicides. It said that one of the deceased was 21 at the time of death and that he had been incarcerated for 4 years. Am I to understand that this guy wasn't even an adult when he was imprisoned without being charged and left to rot? Just an observation.

LA buses are really bad about staying in their lanes. Granted, their lanes are narrow and fraught with parked cars. But damn you Big Dumb Busses, watch out!
